Sunday Song: "Always" by Plumb

Since I love sharing music with people, I've decided to make mix CDs for my sister-in-law and girlfriend who are both pregnant. The mix will be a compilation of songs with lyrics that allow people without children (such as myself) get an idea of what an amazing feeling it must be to watch your child grow.

I heard this song -- "Always" by Plumb on my cousin's MySpace page it seemed like a great fit for the CD. Check it out! And if you have any good recommendations for parent-related songs I should include on the mixes, please share!

Always
Out of nowhere you came
From a little dust and a little rain
And when I looked down at your face
It showed to me the truth and grace
I will always try to keep you very safe

So open up your eyes, so they can look in mine
And see a small reflection
And when you close your eyes, I pray the thoughts inside
Are beautiful and true

I won't always be this strong
And I won't always be the one
To kiss the bruise or heal the scrapes
To wipe the tear drops from your face
But I will always love you more each day

So open up your eyes, so they can look in mine
And see a small reflection
And when you close your eyes, I pray the thoughts inside
Are beautiful and true
I will always love you more each day
I will always try to keep you safe

So open up your eyes, so they can look in mine
And see a small reflection
And when you close your eyes
I pray the thoughts inside are beautiful and true
I will always I will always ... love you.

Haha, I had a feeling I'd get this question...

And the answer is NO!!! I love chidren, but I'm not even close to being ready to have my own. For now, I'm just going to be a pro aunt. I can play and then give the baby back when it comes to the tough stuff!
